Progress syncs automatically. Open a lesson at a desk on the laptop, close it out on the phone mid-commute, submit the assignment from a tablet at a coffee shop — The Real Lesson position, community messages, bookmarks, notes, and submissions all travel with the member.

Common questions about the app.

Is installing the app mandatory?
No. Any modern browser on any device does the job. The dedicated apps for iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows are optional — they exist for members who want a faster experience and OS-native notifications. The full platform is available through web only if a member prefers that.
Does The Real World app cost anything to download?
Yes. The download costs nothing on every store and installer. Actually using it takes an active membership ($99/month). One login spans every device — no per-platform purchases exist.
Is the app heavy on phone battery?
The mobile app targets normal usage — browsing lessons, reading channels, the occasional video. Watching live sessions draws battery like any other video app would. Background usage is minimal.
What happens when I swap iOS for Android (or anything else)?
Nothing transfers separately. Sign in on the new device with the same credentials and it's all waiting — lesson history, messages, bookmarks, p Accounts are fully device-independent.
Does this demand a high-end phone or laptop?
No. Any device from roughly the last 5 years runs it. Older iOS and Android versions still get mobile support. Any current Mac or Windows machine handles the desktop apps. A working internet connection is the only requirement that matters.
